I just stopped at my favorite Bethel sandwich shop and said to the owner I was looking forward to one of his soups- does he make them during the summer? He told me to open my eyes and look at the board. Everyone has a bad day, but this rudeness has no place in a business that serves food - I’m thinking Bethel Village Sandwich Shop is destined to fail eventually. I’ve gone in for the last time.

I'm sorry I don't have pictures. We were tired, hungry travelers. The owner welcomed us, made us perfectly cooked to order burgers. Really good fries, good coffee, reasonably priced! A must stop if you're in the area! I forgot to mention, there is an impressive selection of wine for sale as well, attractively on display(I really wish I had taken pictures, I actually had left my phone in the car. Did I mention we were weary travelers!)

Best place in Bethel

Quaint environment, excellent coffee, delightful munchies, and all at very reasonable prices. This place is absolutely lovely if you're looking to take a quick break on your way through town. Conveniently located with good breakfast/lunch hours.

A great sandwich place for a small VT Town. Stopped here for lunch on a winter Saturday. Sandwiches were freshly made with quality ingredients. The selection of choices was limited to about 8 items that covered the basics well. Don't expect a lot of intricate combinations. Better than other options within 10 miles for sure. I would stop again.

Great food, lots of menu options, this place makes food fast too. It usually takes less than five minute from ordering, there is also a large selection of wine in the back room. The rear dining room has an amazing view of the bethel dam.

THE stop if you’re in the area and need a delicious, charming, local bite to eat or some great coffee. Happened upon this on a drive up to Montreal and was blown away.

Great place with a simple straight forward breakfast/brunch menu. Friendly staff behind the counter and even friendlier when casually talking with guests. Great stop for the weary traveler.

The food here is very good. The people are very friendly. This is a gem in Bethel.

Very good food at this restaurant. Had a cheesburger and fries. Weekday afternoon after the lunch rush and the restaurant was not busy so it was peaceful watching the river.I highly recommend.

Absolutely hands-down the best place to get food in Bethel. My one complaint, they're not open all day every day. Monday's are tough without these guys, but the rest of the week makes it more than worth it. Great, fresh and delicious food. Again, you won't find better in this area.

Great place to grab a sandwich while heading up to Middlebury.

We stopped by here on our way home for a quick lunch. We were pleasantly surprised on how good the sandwiches wer . Especially the steak and cheese. It was o e of the best we ever had. And the owner was very friendly and pleasant to talk to.

Love going here after church. Breakfast sandwiches, pancakes and coffee is delicious! Staff is wonderful!
